Mr Baloyi is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a Director of Madubanya & Baloyi Attorneys Inc. Born in Hammanskraal, he matriculated from Tshwane Christian School before obtaining his LLB degree from the University of Limpopo.

His professional journey has taken him through the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), Legal Aid South Africa, the corporate environment as Senior Legal Advisor: Employee Relations at Comforters Multipurpose (Pty) Ltd, and ultimately private legal practice.

He has further developed a particular interest in immigration and refugee law, including matters concerning asylum seekers, immigration detention, deportation and access to the asylum system. His work in this area includes urgent High Court litigation where questions of personal liberty, administrative justice and the protection afforded to asylum seekers intersect.
